Tell us a little about Xanadu Homes’ history, services and values.

Xanadu Homes was established ten years ago by my business partner Bill Van De Ven and myself through our experience in the industry over the last 35 years. We design, manufacture, and install cabinetry for new homes and renovation projects. This includes custom cabinetry for kitchens, bathrooms, walk-in closets, laundry rooms, and more. Although based in Canada, we have undertaken numerous projects with overseas clients. We are an extremely passionate team, and our customers are our top priority. Our mission is to be the best at transforming homes through exceptional design, so that our clients can live in comfort and luxury.

Are all of these services available in Cayman?

Yes, Cayman clients can opt for the full design-manufacture-installation service or simply have our team manufacture cabinetry from their existing designer. Xanadu is flexible and will assist Cayman clients in whatever way suits their needs. For Cayman-based projects, we partner with trusted local companies that install on our behalf.

How long have you been operating in Cayman?

We have worked in Cayman for many years and have strong ties with the islands. We have been undertaking cabinetry projects for over 15 years. Xanadu has completed work at Oceana, The Residences at Seafire, Crystal Harbour, Camana Bay, and many other locations all over the island.

How do you approach projects with overseas clients, such as those in Cayman?

– Clients are set up with a Xanadu designer via a video call to go over project details. They are then presented with varying design packages that cater to their project
to ensure a smooth process from start to finish.

– Once we have established their budget, design package, and objectives, we then work with the client to create preliminary plans with accurate quotes to review.

– When approved, we send samples so clients can see and feel the materials, wood types, finishes, and colours and choose which best suits their needs.

– We manufacture all components in Canada and then use our expedited system for shipping, customs, and delivery to Cayman.

– Our trusted on-island construction team sees the project through installation to completion

What advantages can you offer clients in Cayman over locally-based cabinetry services?

Our diverse and talented team has the capacity for high volume and quick turnarounds for our international clients. Xanadu prides itself on employing a dedicated team of experienced specialists from design to engineering, and production to shipping. We strive to design and fabricate cabinetry using top-of-the-line products sourced from across the globe to ensure superior quality control while providing timely project completion.

What are some innovations in your industry that are of interest to Cayman clients?

We now work with a fabulous new cabinetry collection from Naturekast, which is ideal for outdoor living. Made from high-density resins, these cabinets are resistant to water, sun, and salty air and offer a lifetime warranty. This means we can create fabulous outdoor kitchens, that look like teak, cypress, or a contemporary painted style, but do not require any additional maintenance for outdoor use. As a Galley dealer, we can also pair your outdoor or indoor cabinetry with Galley workstations and taps to complete the space.
